Description of Event : Bahubali - A One Day Workshop on Robotics: Theory & Practice - was organized by BE - First Year, in collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering Department. The workshop was open to all students of DIMAT and received an overwhelming response from all branches of Engineering. Around 250 - 300 students participated in the event. The workshop was designed to have a theory session – that covered topics like Introduction to Robotics, Navigational Programming, Generalisation and Visualisation of Robots, Kinematics of Robots, Physics behind Robots etc. – and a practice session that dealt with analyzing Robo-Mechanism, Generalised Robo-Dimensions, Quadcopters, Elevators, Robo-Dynamics etc. The resource persons were Prof. Dinesh Dubey and Prof. K. Kurrey from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Dr. Sunil Kashyap from the Department of Mathematics, along with the student Robo Masters namely, Rakesh Sahu, Tapan, Jagrit Chandrakar, Bhavesh, Bhumika Sinha and Vinay.
Description of Event : One way to create an awareness and to develop interest in Learning is to host a puzzle contest. In order to accomplish this Departmen of Mechanical Engineering ,DIMAT, Raipur has organised a puzzle contest as stated below. The puzzle contest consisted of solving different levels of puzzles in stipulated time.The contest serve as an excellent introductory exercise that immediately involves all participants and forces them to think.

Description of Event : Quiz on the topic of GRINDING and UNCONVENTIONAL MACHINING was organized. It consists of 43 multiple choice questions (one question , one slide, one minute timer basis). Question shown by using projector.
Objectives :
- Check the topic awareness.
- Check the self and presence of mind.
- Motivate them read carefully and select one answer only.
- Attain level of PSU and GATE exam.
- Motivate them to take very basic and thorough knowledge of any subject by using subject or topic books.
- Use all time to solve each question and reduce ideal time.

Description of Event : Simulation is the imitation of the operation of a real-world process or systemovertime. The act of simulating something first requires that a model be developed; thismodel represents the key characteristics or behaviors/functions of the selected physical or abstract system or process. The model represents the system itself, whereas the simulation represents the operation of the system over time.Simulation is used in many contexts, such as simulation of technology for performance optimization, safety engineering, testing, training, education, and video games. Often, computer experiments are used to study simulation models. Simulation is also used with scientific modeling of natural systems or human systems to gain insight into their functioning.
