DIMAT Won Inter Zone Sports meet Cricket Championship 2015
Disha Institute of Management and Technology cricket stars continue their excellence in Inter Zone Sports meet Cricket Championship this year too. DIMAT team displayed some of the finest shots entering into the finals. The audiences were mesmerized witnessing the match. This year the final match held at held at BIT, Durg between DIMAT, Raipur V/S CCET, Bhilai.
In the finals, DIMAT defeated CCET, Bhilai by scoring 126 Runs and won with 07 Wickets in 14 overs. CCET won the toss and choosen batting first. Ashish Shukla of DIMAT team scored highest with 74 runs and achieved man of the match, Vickey Mishra scoored 28 Runs took 03 Wickets and Abhishek Kolhe 15 Runs with the support of team members. CCET, team was all out at 125 Runs.

Disha Education Society, appreciated the college cricket team performanance and said, “Game of life which everybody is playing from dawn to dusk with sporting spirit is strengthening harmony of society. Our college has a tradition of providing an all round development of students by making them available facilities of sports and related activities. Continuous efforts have been made by the college to tap the sporting guts of the students over the years. Dr. Aloke Chakavortty , Managing Director , Disha Education Limited, said in the game , Spirit of endurance and fellowship, willingness to scarify – these various qualities which are of great value, which can help us to rebuild an ideal society , which has to be seen in the cricket team . Congratulating the team, Dr. R. Sivarethina Mohan, Principal, Disha Institute of management and Technology said, “The great virtue of sports teaches everybody to acquire the will to win. If one is determined to go for his aspirations, he will succeed in every aspect of life. Life is full of struggle that has been started since the creation of the world”. DIMAT, Sports officer complimented his cricketers and appreciated their zeal and spirit. He also praised the organizers of the college for providing a chance to the boys to show their talent and excel in the game. All the staff members of the college and students congratulated the team.
