Discipline is the utmost need and prime objective for the betterment and upliftment of the college.
Students are expected not to harm the property of the college and they will safeguard it from the outsiders and unwanted elements.
Misconduct of any nature giving bad name to the college may cause the expulsion of the student from the college.
Mobile-phones, walkman, radio, etc. are strictly prohibited in college premises.
Publication of any information regarding the college without the prior permission of the management will be treated as an offence. The matter may can be taken to the court of law.
Students are not allowed to use personal CD's in the lab. They must also not install any software or download any, from Internet.
If the student is absent from the class for more than 21 days without any prior information, he/she will be considered as a dropout.
If the college finds activity of any student is derogatory to dignity of the college, the student will be asked to leave the college without giving any reasons.
Action taken by Disciplinary Committee will be final.
Students are not allowed to use the Internet for personal use like sending e-mail, viewing irrelevant websites etc.
ADMISSION
Application should be in the prescribed format, with all the columns duly filled in by black/blue inks correctly and legibly. Incomplete and incorrect applications may be out rightly rejected.
Students are required to submit the original mark sheets of class 10th, 12th along with attested Xerox copies.
Students shall submit a fitness certificate from a competent and authorized medical authority, at the time of admission.
Students shall be provided with SMART IDENTITY CARDS. Students are required to wear it always and present it as and when asked for. Duplicate smart cards shall be available on payment of Rs.100/- or as decided from time to time.
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in accordance and as per directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. STUDENTS FOUND INDULGING IN ANY KIND OF RAGGING SHALL BE OUTRIGHTLY RUSTICATED FROM INSTITUTE AND LEGAL ACTION AS PRESCRIBED MAY BE INITIATED.
Student admitted in the college must obtain Identity Card on payment of prescribed fee.
Submission of University enrollment form is essential for the students admitted. Also non-collegiate students seeking admission are required to fill the University enrollment form.
Students are directed to give their correct address and telephone number. Any changes should be brought to the notice of the office authority immediately, in writing with receipted copy.
FEES
Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Full payment of the fee is to be made on yearly basis in advance within the prescribed date.
Caution Money shall be refunded on completion of the full term of the courses on presenting the original fee receipt only. If Student is leaving institution in Midterm then also fees of the full year is to be paid.
If Without completing full course period student leaves the institution due to any reason, except he being declared fail or declared lunatic, fees for year or the case may be is liable to be recovered from student.
Transfer Certificate (TC) will be given only after all fees due or to be due is paid and all fines, expenses, Utility charges are also paid.
Before seeing legal remedies for grievances on fees, TC etc. student and Parents are directed to apply for arbitration first, to principal of the institution.
The Student should ascertain his means of financial support before joining the course, No concession in fees will be granted during the course under any circumstances.
Canvassing for any type of concession / redemption in fee is not permissible.
GENERAL RULES
Students shall abide by the rules & regulations of the Institute, as declared and notified from time to time.
Students are not expected to indulge in any unsocial, criminal or political activity, not conforming to his status as student and against the interest of the Institute/Organization.
Minimum 85% attendance is compulsory to be eligible to appear in University Examination (or as guided by University). Students are required to submit leave application giving valid reasons for absence from classes. The leave/absence applications shall be submitted to the concerned Department Head and is subject to acceptance as per rule.
Students found damaging the Institute property shall be punished & fined and may also be suspended/rusticated from the Institute and cost will be recovered for replacement of that property.
Consumption of tobacco and tobacco products, alcohol, smoking, chewing of gutka or using these kinds of bad habits inside the institute is strictly prohibited, students found indulging are liable to be fined and punished severely. They may even be rusticated.
Students shall follow the prescribed Dress Code in the Institute.
Gadgets like Mobile Phones, Walkman, Radio, etc. are not allowed inside the classrooms, workshops, seminars etc. Usage of above will lead to seizure of these gadgets. Which will be non refundable.
Absence from classes for more than 21 days without prior information shall lead to the admission of the students being cancelled.
Publication of any information regarding the institute without prior permission from the competent authority is not allowed and shall be treated as an offence invoking punitive action like suspension also.
Usage of Institute infrastructure viz, Library, Computer Lab, Workshop Hostel etc. are governed separately by Library rules, Computer Lab rules and Workshop rules and shall be notified from time to time.
Cases of indiscipline shall be reported to the Disciplinary Committee and in such cases the decision of the Disciplinary Committee shall be final and binding.
Information regarding examinations, activities etc. shall be displayed in the form of the notice on the Notice Boards and shall not be communicated to the student individually.
Disputes may be referred to arbitration first
All disputes are subject to Raipur Jurisdiction only.
STUDENTS - DOs & DON'Ts FOR HOSTELLERS
All Hostellers have to apply and fill the Hostel form every year afresh, subject to fees, approval, case & Merit bases.
All students are required to follow the Established Rules, Timings & Instructions of the Hostel Warden(s). The Persistent infraction will result in suspension or expulsion from the Hostel with/without information to their Parents.
The student may leave premises only with prior permission of the Warden, and entry in the Departure & Reporting Register is must both for their Departure and Arrival.
The last entry (Arrival) time is 08.00 pm. Every one should remain present on each ATTENDANCE, beyond which, Rs. 100/- will be charged as fine for each such default.
Ragging and inappropriate language is strictly prohibited and will lead to very strict Disciplinary action as deem fit.
VISITORS- As per form, only real family members or relatives authorized by the parents, can be allowed to meet with prior permission of the warden, between only 07 to 08 pm on each Sunday. Maximum 02 visits are allowed in a month. If any fake fraternization is observed, will be treated a grave misconduct, leading to Expulsion or Police Complain or Rs 1000 /- as Fine as decided by the Discipline I/C or warden. The visitors should be attended only in side of the Porch only, and no visitor is allowed to up-stairs. No night stay of the friends/relatives is allowed.
Written permission is compulsory one day prior for any outing/or visit to Home, for not going to college. Similarly, for any early leave or directly from the College or to any other place, Warden's prior permission is must in each case. Absent without permitted days will be treated offense and will be penalized @100/ per day.
Students will be responsible for their owned/ Personal belongings, and also for the utensils, beddings, etc given to them by the Institute. For any damage to Institutional properties will be offset by them in cash/substitute of equivalent specifications, individually or collectively, as the case is. All have to obtain No- Dues after each Final Exams. The hostlers are strictly advised not to keep jewelry or hard cash with them, and will be responsible for loss.
Cleanliness is mandatory in all the way in Hostel premises. Any willful violation will attract severe action
None is allowed to accommodate with oneself to any outsiders at any cost in side the Hostel.
If student is found using/having any kind of un authorized Electrical-Appliance, dangerous- instruments, Narcotic, or Alcohol/smoking, will be treated as grave offence, and will be penalized accordingly as deem fit.
Late Night outing, party, singing or disturbing other students will be dealt strictly.
The consumption of Electricity, Water, etc should be rational, if found otherwise, may attract fine accordingly.
Any kind of serious medical advices or prescriptions or Allergy should be brought to the notice of the Warden.
The timings in the hostel/Canteen regarding Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner should be followed strictly.
Permission of any kind of leave will be entertained first by the hostel warden, and will be reported soon on returning.
RAGGING is strictly prohibited; therefore, never try in any form of introduction or action, or command.
If any student is reported stayed during college time, without written permission, will be penalized Rs. 100 per day.
All instructions of the wardens are important for the hostel students and administration, so must be given due respect.
The above rules will be amended time to time, and the same will be binding to all the concerned.
Any act or threat to assault on others or harm on himself/herself physically or otherwise is a grave offense.
Use your own prescribed Medicine. Any unauthorized medicine is strictly prohibited and will be at his/her cost. Any matter of personal dispute must be briefed first to the Warden and his decision will be binding to all.
Any grave offence may be put up before the Discipline Committee, and may be referred during issue of CC.
The Hostel Wardens are Authorized and Responsible persons and thus must be given due regards and attention.
ADMINISTRATIVE
The Guards must be vigilant enough to ensure the timely attendance and never to manipulate/over write it.
Hostel Wardens are requested to please verify and countersign the total presence daily.
Any unauthorized absence of any student must be brought to the notice to the Registrar Office and Parents.
Gate- Pass must be signed by the Warden only, verified by the Security personnel and ensure timely return
Fine on each fault specified and confessed along with duly recommendation of the Warden , should be Accounted properly with information to Registrar office.
LIBRARY RULES FOR STUDENT AND FACULTY/STAFF
Every member who enters the Library shall sign the gate register in token of his acceptance to adhere to the rules of Library.
Users are not allowed to bring their personal belongings in the library. All members are required to leave their personal belongings (Books, Files, Briefcases, Handbags, and Registers etc) at the entrance of the library (Personal Belonging Shelves).
Seats in the Library may not be reserved.
Don't write, underline or mark the library books. The library books are carefully examined on return and the borrower will be held responsible for defacing or damaging to, or loss of library book(s) in his/her possession
After consultation, leave the book(s) on the reading table, which will be kept by the library staff on the exact place.
Library materials may not be removed from the Library unless they have been properly issued by a Library staff.
Complete silence should be observed inside the library except for the brief and subdued talk with the library staff at the Circulation Desk or in any other Section of the library.
Drinks and eatables are not allowed in the library.
Use of Mobile and Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the library.
Sleeping / Hot Talk /Un-necessary Discussion/ Loud Voice /Disturbance / Foot on tables & chairs / Unbalanced talk with colleagues are not allowed in the library.
Students are entitled to check out 2 books (Excluding Text Reference books and General Reference books) for a period of 15 days.
Electronic scanning of library materials is not allowed
A fine of Rs. 5/- per book, per day (starting after the close of library on due date) will be charged for late returns.
Book Losses
In case of loss of book(s), two times the market price of the lost book be charged, or new book containing same title, author, and publisher will be charged.
If the library user, fails to submit the replacement cost of lost or damaged material, this amount will be deducted from the "Security Deposit" of the students; in case the stipulated amount exceeds the Security Deposit of the student then the authorities reserve the rights to withhold the issuance of degree to the students concerned till he/she either replaces the lost book/material or pays the stipulated amount.
The borrowers will not be able to borrow any library material until the library repurchases the lost or damaged material, or receives written information, from the Account Department of the Institute, that the required amount has been recovered from the borrower.
The In-Charge of the library has the authority to immediately stop the issuance or discontinue the Reading Rooms' facility for the defaulters.

OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue)
Audio/Visual Materials, CDs, Diskettes
The faculty and staff books will be renewed for a further period of one month, if the desired book/books has/have not been reserved for another user. Overdue books will not be reissued.
Current issues of Annual Reports, Pamphlets, Periodicals, Newspapers and A/V materials, CDs, Diskettes can not be checked out. Such material is for consultation in the library premises.
The unwanted book(s) may be returned to the library for use by some other reader.
If you accidentally mislay a book and cannot find it after thorough search, report the matter to the Circulation Desk immediately to avoid the undue fine.
In case, a book is urgently required, the In-Charge of the library may recall it at a short notice any time and such a book shall be returned immediately by the borrower.
Library membership cards are not transferable and must be produced whenever requested by Library staff
Please keep your library card safely and ensure that no one else uses the library card
If a library card is lost or damaged, Rs.75.00 will be charged for per new card.
If a lost or stolen card is found or recovered after a replacement card has been made, the member must not subsequently use the card but Return it immediately to the Library.
Mutilation and theft of library materials are offences punishable by law and appropriate action will be taken by the institute against offenders. A student found guilty is liable to be expelled from the institute.
Please note that library staff has the right to:
w Ask users to leave the library if they are inappropriately dressed or are causing a disturbance.
w Remove any book, file, bag, food or any other personal belongings left on reading tables.
w Ask a non-member to leave the library.
Violation of these rules or undisciplined behaviour in the Library will lead to cancellation of membership and disciplinary action.
LABORATORY
Students will have to follow the rules and regulation of Physics, Electronics, and Computer Lab.
Students should not mishandle the computer systems and other equipments in the Lab. In case of any problem, they should inform the Lab In-charge immediately.
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT
For the thorough preparation & boosting up the confidence of the students, Disha College regularly conducts Tests, Assignments, Seminars, Workshops etc.
Students will have to follow the scheduled programme failing in which the necessary disciplinary action will be taken by the college authority.
Pre-university examination are pre scheduled for every session. It is compulsory for the students to appear in the exams.
