Free Legal Aid Camp organized on 9th April, 2016

Disha Law College organised a Free Legal Aid Camp on 9th April, 2016 in the village Pacheda which is near to Disha Law College, Raipur. This camp was organised to create awareness among the villagers to avail the benefit of this free legal aid that is being provided by our college. The chief Guests of the camp were Shri Umesh Kumar Chauhan, Honourable Civil Judge and Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Raipur (C.G), Shri Janardan Khare, Honourable Civil Judge Raipur (C.G), Shri Vinaya Kumar Pradhan, Honourable Civil Judge, Raipur (C.G), Shri Sarv Vijay Agrawal, Honourable Civil Judge, Raipur (C.G), Shri Harendra Nag, Honourable Civil Judge, Raipur (C.G), Kumari Pratibha Markam, Honourable Civil Judge, Raipur (C.G) along with Sarpanch of the Village Pacheda Sheikh Farid Qureshi Ji. The Program was also embraced with Respected Director DIMAT Dr.Chandrakar and Pricipal DIMAT Dr. Bharat Chede. After the formal welcome session Dr. Prashant Dhage, Principal In-charge, Disha Law College initiated the program by giving an idea about what was going to happen in the camp and asked the people of village to submit their problems and the problems will be further resolved by categorising them into compoundable and non compoundable issues, some of the issues were resolved then and there like a boy came to the students complaining about the services of the mobile centre as he was facing issues in getting his mobile repaired and the issues were successfully resolved by the students of Disha Law College along with the guidance of Dr Prashant Dhage, another serious problem which arrived was the land registration of the Farmers of the village Pacheda which was also accepted. Then the Guests visited the Disha Law College and gave their Valuable suggestions and discussed their experiences with the students and faculties and they appreciated the infrastructure of the college and were fascinated by the moot Court. In this way Disha Law College initiated a Free Legal Services to the villagers and aware them about it and they were being made aware that in case any legal problem arises they are welcome in a Disha Law College for a free Legal advice. This is how we activated Free Legal Aid Centre which was established in 2014. We the students of Disha Law College are feeling blessed to start this actual practice of being an Advocate under this centre .
